How to use Comet W8861 in practice
- It is ideal for use away from a power source. It has an internal long-life battery that can be easily replaced.
- Check the availability of the Sigfox network in your location. Alternatively, the signal must be provided by the own BTS station (in related products).
- It can be used not only for measuring the outdoor air temperature but also for measuring the barometric pressure and, especially thanks to the external probe, for measuring the CO2 concentration inside objects.

- It can send the measured data via the Sigfox wireless network, which operates throughout Europe. It is used to transmit small data using a radio signal. For example, it is commonly used in electricity meters.
- It stores the measured values in the Comet Cloud online storage. Here, the measured data can be further processed, analysed and exported. You can also monitor the battery status or set up alarm emails when set values are exceeded.
- The Comet W8861 is powered by a replaceable battery, which can be supplemented by an expansion battery pack. This battery can keep the meter running for up to 7 years.
