CO2 detectors with relay output
These carbon dioxide detectors have a relay output that can switch other devices based on the current CO2 concentration. They are most often used in automated systems that activate, for example, a controlled ventilation or recuperation unit. The operation of the ventilation is thus automatic and does not need to be monitored manually.
It is particularly advantageous to use CO2 detectors with controlled ventilation in a room where there is a higher number of people and the concentration of harmful carbon dioxide can increase rapidly. Switching can also be set to specific limit values. The ventilation is thus not done suddenly but at small intervals activated by the CO2 detector itself. In this way, you will efficiently solve the ventilation and also save money on heating, which will switch linearly. There will be no large temperature fluctuations.
Detectors with relay output are most often used in new buildings where they are already part of the complete project. The CO2 detector is most often used in public areas and in buildings and rooms with a high concentration of people. They are often in kindergartens and primary schools, vocational schools, secondary schools and universities. They are also commonly part of combined office spaces where there are multiple individuals in one room. This is because carbon dioxide has a major effect on concentration, fatigue and attention. In some cases, it can lead to headaches and dizziness.
