A basic precondition for the correct use of scales is regular calibration. Without regular calibration of the scale, the measured data cannot be used reliably. For precision and laboratory balances, which are often used to accurately analyse the weighed sample, this is doubly true. Especially the frequent use of scales in operation leads to wear and tear and deviations in weighing. It is therefore necessary to maintain regular calibration of these balances depending on the frequency and area of use of the balance.

Calibration of the scales is carried out by quantitatively comparing the value of the reference weight (standard) with the measured value, which is shown on the display. For this purpose, the current calibration procedures must be followed. It is also important to use suitable reference weights of adequate accuracy which are calibrated regularly.

• Reliable measurements - By regularly calibrating the scale, you ensure reliable and accurate measurement of the gauge. It is important to calibrate regularly at a set time interval, which is determined with regard to the location in operation and the frequency of measurements taken.
• Compliance with regulations - The calibration of precision balances is often a requirement of the internal rules and regulations of companies and institutions.
• Cost savings - Precision balances are often part of the production process. For example, when weighing used materials and samples for production, the highest accuracy with minimum deviation is required. As a result, by regularly calibrating the laboratory scale, significant savings can be achieved.
• Innovations and profits - Precise weighing and measuring can lead to innovations in production processes and developments in the field. This is linked to technological and, as a result, financial profit.

We calibrate most brands and producers

If you are interested, we can provide set-up and adjustment of the scale. We can arrange service and repair if necessary. A calibration certificate is issued for each calibration of the scale, which meets the requirements of EN 45501.

Our company performs calibrations of a wide range of types of scales of well-known producers:

CAS, RADWAG, KERN, METTLER TOLEDO, PRECIA MOLEN, OHAUS, SARTORIUS, and many others.

Standards used for laboratory and analytical balances

For calibration of laboratory and analytical balances we use sets of calibrated standard weights in the range of 1 mg - 20 kg. This range allows us to calibrate balances of different weights and accuracies. The sets of these standards are placed in boxes and cases to prevent damage during transport.

The standards are regularly calibrated to meet the required measurement accuracy.

These standards are also used to calibrate drying balances ( moisture analyzers ).

Standards used for bench and pallet scales

For calibration of scales with higher weighing capacity we use calibrated standards 10 kg, 20 kg, 50 kg. This allows us to easily calibrate classic bench scales that are commonly found in operations or industrial production.

Manipulation of the weights allows to load different load carriers even on non-typical scales. They are commonly used for large scale, mechanical scales, but can also be used on advanced weighing systems with non-automatic operation.

Standards used for crane and bridge scales

These standards allow us to calibrate large scales with high weighing capacities. These weights with a nominal value of 500 kg and 1000 kg can be used for calibration of crane and bridge scales. In some cases we can also use them for conventional bench scales or pallet scales with large weighing capacities.

These weights can only be handled using a crane or fork-lift truck. The calibration includes the issue of a calibration certificate.
