We are authorized by the ÚNMZ to verify blood tonometers and holters. We perform verification and calibration of blood tonometers and holters, which is prescribed by Act No. 505/1990 Coll., on Metrology, and Decree No. 345/2002 Coll.. Regular metrological verification of the medical tonometer is therefore required by law. However, we can also calibrate tonometers and blood pressure gauges that are intended for private use.
We are an authorised metrology centre
- We are authorized according to Act No. 505/1990 Coll., on Metrology to verify blood tonometers and holters.
- Authorization Decision- The Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) has granted us authorization Authorization Decision.
- Official verification of the tonometer is mandatory for all types of blood tonometers that are used in the healthcare sector to determine the health status of a patient. In this case, it is a so-called approved working gauge, which requires periodic official verification.
What tonometers do we verify
- Electronic tonometers - They are the most widely used gauges for checking blood pressure. They offer easy use and speed with clear controls and display of measured values. They are commonly used in doctor's offices but also in households where they are very popular due to their easy use.
- Mercury tonometers - Even if sales of the new mercury tonometers have been discontinued, these blood pressures are often commonly used in doctors' offices. They are independent of the source of electricity and are still one of the reliable and simple blood pressure indicators. Mercury tonometers can still be used and can also be calibrated and verified for accuracy.
- Holters - They are the more and more used blood pressure monitors. Holters are used to record the measured values in relation to time. They are commonly used for medical purposes where the patient wears it throughout the day and night. The evaluated data is then used as a basis for determining the diagnosis and condition of the patient. We will be glad to verify and calibrate the holters so that the correct measurements correspond to reality.

What our laboratory offers
- We are authorized by the Authority for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing for the verification of blood pressure measuring gauges. You can find the authorization decision in the certificate section.
- Service - At each calibration we perform cleaning and service maintenance of the gauge. We check and secure the necessary spare parts and cuffs.

- Accurate standards - Quality and calibrated standards are the basis for accurate measurements. Our laboratory is equipped with the appropriate standards to ensure not only a wide measurement range, but also the highest possible accuracy.
- Verification certificate - On request, we can issue a verification certificate for the approved gauge.
