For non-contact measurement of surface temperature
Infrared thermometers or non-contact thermometers measure temperature without touching the surface. The great advantage is also the speed with which the measurement takes place. This feature is mainly preferred by doctors and especially pediatricians who need to quickly measure the temperature of a patient. Non-contact thermometers have also found uses in sectors other than healthcare. Some infrared thermometers are often used to measure temperature in hard to reach places or measurements on moving surfaces.
Some types of non-contact thermometers offer advanced functions and different measurement modes.
