SD-283ST optical smoke detector

Optical smoke detector with relay output, connectable to binary inputs. Power supply 12Vdc (power adapter not included) or from the control panel of the alarm system. The occurrence of danger is visually indicated by the built-in signal and acoustic signal. If the detector is operated with inserted 3x 1.5 V AA batteries (not included), it continues to operate as a stand-alone detector in the event of loss of the external 12V DC power supply.

TheSD283ST contains two separate detectors - an optical smoke detector and a temperature detector. The optical smoke detector works on the principle of scattered light. It is very sensitive to larger particles that are in dense smoke. It is less sensitive to small particles produced by the combustion of liquids such as alcohol. For this reason, a temperature detector is also built in, which has a slower response, but responds much better to a fire that develops heat rapidly with small amounts of smoke.
