LogTag LTI-HID is a desktop USB interface designed for data transfer between compatible LogTag data loggers and a computer. Connection to the computer is made via a micro USB connector, and the device is powered directly from the computer.

A practical feature of the device is its two status LEDs, green and red, which indicate the current communication status. This allows the user to easily identify whether the interface is ready, data exchange is in progress, the logger is being configured, or a communication error has occurred. LTI-HID is suitable for environments where data loggers are used regularly and fast, repeatable, and clear data transfer to a PC is required.

Display and control

The device has no display. Operation is performed by inserting a compatible logger into the reader and working in the LogTag Analyzer software or another supported program. Communication status is indicated by two LED indicators.

The green LED indicates readiness or successful completion of an operation, while the red LED indicates ongoing communication or an error. After the logger is removed, the green LED remains on, confirming that the interface is ready for the next device.

What is LogTag LTI-HID used for?

LogTag LTI-HID is used for communication between compatible LogTag data loggers and a computer. It is mainly used for data download, logger configuration, and other operations in LogTag Analyzer or LogTag Online software.

Is LogTag LTI-HID compatible with all LogTag data loggers?

LogTag LTI-HID is compatible with all standard LogTag products that have 3 silver contact pins on the lower rear part of the case. Before ordering, it is advisable to verify the specific logger type.

Does the reader require a special driver to be installed?

No, a proprietary driver is usually not installed for LogTag LTI-HID. The device uses communication drivers built into currently supported versions of Windows.

How can I tell that data transfer is in progress?

Ongoing data transfer is indicated by the red LED. After successful completion of communication, the green LED flashes, which means the logger can be removed or the next operation can be started.

What does a flashing red LED mean?

A flashing red LED usually indicates a problem during data exchange. The cause may be, for example, a low logger battery, dirty contacts, an interrupted operation, or another communication error.

Is this device an instrument that is calibrated?

No, LogTag LTI-HID is not a measuring instrument in the true sense of the word. It is a communication interface, so calibration applies to the connected data loggers, not to the USB reader itself.

In what environment can LTI-HID be used?

LTI-HID is intended for indoor use. This corresponds to its IP50 rating and the manufacturer’s stated use in environments such as warehouses, clinics, indoor industrial areas, or similar indoor workplaces.

Which programs are compatible with this interface?

The device is compatible with LogTag Analyzer and LogTag Online software. This makes it suitable for standard environments for managing and archiving data from LogTag data loggers.

How is the device powered?

The device is powered from a computer via USB connection. A separate power supply is therefore not required.
