Kalist AKL – accredited calibration laboratory with a wide range of activities

The company KALIST AKL s.r.o. has once again received from the Czech Institute for Accreditation, o.p.s. the accreditation certificate No. 451/2025 for its calibration laboratory No. 2394. This accreditation confirms compliance with the requirements of the international standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and is valid until 4. 9. 2030.

For customers, this is a clear guarantee of expertise, reliability and long-term quality of the services that we at Kalist AKL provide to customers in the field of metrology.

Scope of accredited activities

The calibration laboratory is authorized to perform calibrations in the following fields:

1. Thermometer Calibration

🌡️ Temperature

Glass thermometers: from -40 °C to 180 °C with an uncertainty of 0.10–0.15 °C.
Indicator thermometers and temperature chains: from -196 °C (uncertainty 0.70 °C) to 1100 °C (uncertainty 2.8 °C).
Temperature-controlled devices: from -196 °C to 1100 °C with an uncertainty of 0.30 °C to 2.8 °C.
Infrared non-contact thermometers: from -30 °C (uncertainty 2.8 °C) to 500 °C (uncertainty 3.7 °C).

2. Calibration of hygrometers

💧 Air humidity

Hygrometers and measuring chains: from 10% RH to 95% RH (at a temperature of 13 to 33 °C).
Uncertainties range from 1.2% RH (in lower ranges) to 2.1% RH (at higher humidity).
Climatic chambers: calibration over the entire range of 10–95% RH with similar uncertainties.

3. Calibration of scales and weights

⚖️ Weight - calibration of scales with non-automatic operation (from laboratory scales to scales with a capacity of tens of tons) and standard weights of various accuracy classes.

Scales with non-automatic operation: from 0 g with an uncertainty of 0.0006 mg to industrial scales up to 30 tons with an uncertainty of 8·10⁻⁴.

Standard weights: from 1 mg (uncertainty of 0.007 mg) to 60 kg (uncertainty of 80 mg).

Calibration is carried out according to the recommendations of OIML R111-1:2004 in various accuracy classes (E2, F1, F2, M1).

4. Stopwatch and Timer Calibration

⏱️ Time and Frequency

Stopwatches, timers, timekeepers: from 1 second to 86,400 seconds (24 hours) with an uncertainty of 0.15 s.

5. Pipette calibration

📏 Volume - calibration of piston pipettes, burettes, dispensers and other piston meters.

Piston pipettes: 0.5 µl to 10,000 µl with an uncertainty of 0.13% + 0.01 µl (gravimetric method according to ČSN EN ISO 8655-6, EURAMET cg-19).
Burettes, dispensers and dilution devices: 0.1 ml to 100 ml with an uncertainty of 0.05%.

6. Tachometer calibration

🔄 Speed

Tachometers: from 10 min⁻¹ (uncertainty 2 min⁻¹) to 50,000 min⁻¹ (uncertainty 0.012% + 2 min⁻¹)
